Desire is a powerful force that can be used to make things happen.
~ Marcia Weider
de·sire : verb, -sired, -sir·ing, noun–verb (used with object)
1. to wish or long for; crave; want.
2. to express a wish to obtain; ask for; request: The mayor desires your presence at the next meeting.
–noun
3. a longing or craving, as for something that brings satisfaction or enjoyment: a desire for fame.
4. an expressed wish; request.
5. something desired.
When used in manifesting, or with the Law of Attraction, be aware to not confuse desire with expectation, or with need. Desire has an entirely different quality to it. You can desire something without needing or requiring it. That little difference makes everything work. That little difference is the whole trick. Desire, do not require. To desire propels. To require compels. Life will not be compelled, but it can be coaxed... Whoever or whatever you are trying to compel today, stop it. Just...fall back into the soft cotton of desire.
"Here's the problem. Most people are thinking about what they don't want,
and they're wondering why it shows up over and over again."
~ John Assaraf
From the Daily OM: The best way to get what we want from life is to first know what we want. If we haven't taken the time to really understand and identify what would truly make us happy, we won't be able to ask for it from those around us or from the universe. We may not even be able to recognize it once it arrives. Once we are clear about what we want, we can communicate it to those around us.
We may have been taught that the way to get what we want is to follow certain rules, play particular games, or even engage in acts that use less than our highest integrity. In terms of energy, we can see that it takes a lot of energy to keep up a false front or act in a way that is counter to our true nature, but much less energy is expended when we can just be and enjoy connections that energize us in return. Then our energy can be directed toward living the life we want right now. The only rules we need to apply are those of intention and connection.
“I want these things because I would feel better in the having of them,
but my awareness of their absence prevents me from having them.
But if I can find a way of feeling better even without having them, then they can be mine.”
~ Abraham
Eckhart Tolle's shares: What is the importance of manifesting things in your life, or creating, or is that counter-productive?
If you look at the Universe, the first thing you will see is that it likes to create, and it likes to manifest. On this planet alone, the Universe is continuously creating and manifesting countless life forms. The life forms, both in the sea, and on land, including humans, they seem to enjoy a dance of coming into being and destruction. It’s a transformational process. The Universe likes to create, to manifest, to experience the play of form. That’s one movement. And you can see it in yourself, at some level.
There is something else in humans, you can only really see in yourself, an inner phenomenon. The Universe wants not only to experience that manifested life, it also wants to experience peace and something that is not touched by the continuously fluctuating forms. It wants to know itself deeply, directly, in its essence.
The Universe not only wants the outward movement, but it also wants the inward – the return movement to the One. Every human being also embodies these two movements. It seems that you are torn sometimes between the outward movement into form, and the inward return movement to the Source where it all started. The Source that was never really lost, it is always there because it is timeless, and it is within you. You feel drawn back to that, and that is the pull toward spirituality, peace, Stillness.
The One consciousness that underlies everything moves into form, assumes forms, and enjoys the play of form but it’s not enough for the one consciousness to enjoy the play of form, it needs to completely believe in it to make it seem ‘real’. You need to lose yourself in that dream of form.
When you discover the power of feeling better first, by the deliberate focusing of your mind away from problems, struggles, irritants, and any other manner of unwanted things—and focus your mind upon the simplicity of your own breathing—you will have found the key to the power of allowing. --- Abraham-Hicks
Neale Donald Walsch shares....”that you should never be content with so little when you can reach out for something big. Charles L. Allen asked a question about that, wondering why so many people settle for so little. You do not have to place yourself among them. The world is an abundant place. Abundant with opportunity, abundant with good fortune, abundant with ideas, and abundant with love. Reach into that abundance and take what is rightfully yours. It is your inheritance, gifted to you by God. Let yourself have it. Do not fail to reach for it for fear that it will not come to you. How can it come to you if you do not reach for it? Do not be content with so little. Reach, stretch, for something big.”
“This process of creation is not about getting the creation finished and finding an end to needed manifestations. It is about the joyous process of expansion. And in the very moment that your intention shifts to a determination to “feel good” rather than a determination of “manifest something,” not only will you become a consistently happy person, but all things wanted will flow easily to you.” ~ Abraham-Hicks
Abraham: If all of you, when you went home today, found your homes had blown away, you would be happier in the days and weeks and months to follow than if you went home and everything was normal -- because it causes more focus of desire. There is all this fresh stuff pouring through you. It's like opening spaces to new allowance. If every remnant of success was gone from you -- still you stand as the culmination of all that you've learned. And we don't mean learned in the sense that now you know how to do it again. We mean you have been the creation that has been in the process of being created, and here you stand as this clearer, more focused wanter and allower than you've ever been before. Which means, you can take your next breath of desire and step into your next place of allowing, and all that you ever had, and ten times more, can be in your experience immediately -- when you accept that you are the asker and the receiver, and the letter-in of all of that.
If you are willing to let your improved emotional state be the evidence of your progress, then the progress will continue; you will continue to feel even better, and the tipping point will come where physical evidence can be seen. But if you look too soon for the evidence, and you do not yet find it, you will lose Vibrational ground.
The need to see the immediate evidence of progress is the most significant hindrance to most people. When you attempt to take score of your progress too soon, you move further from the results you seek.
There is no desire that you hold that is for any other reason than you believe you would feel better in the having of it. Whether it is a material object, a pile of money, a relationship, a physical state of being—every desire is wanted because you want to feel better.
Unknown: Your desire to turn inward could cause you to think about how your life could be more meaningful. You may find yourself wanting to make a greater difference in this world. Spending time examining these thoughts more closely today could lead you to great insights. Perhaps your higher self is calling on you to live a life that is more in line with your life purpose. It might be a good idea to set aside some time to examine these ideas more closely. Allow yourself to meditate and listen to your inner voice. You might hear a specific word or direction more loudly than others or receive a mental picture of a particular path to explore. Tapping into your intuitive abilities in this way could help you to gain a better understanding of the ways you can add meaning to your life.
Allowing our inner wisdom to guide us down the best path can help us create more meaning and purpose. Rather than allowing ourselves to remain scattered and unsure, we can choose to go inward, access our inner wisdom, and discover the knowledge we need to determine the right path for us. We can then go about making changes that can give our lives more meaning and purpose. We inevitably end up contributing to the world in the exact ways that we are meant to. Tap into your inner wisdom today, and it will guide you toward a life of greater meaning and purpose.
Let’s take a bit of time to meditate; asking our inner desires to surface and be known. Allow this knowing to guide you in your intentions for today. So be it, so it is!
